JFS is raising money by selling JFS-original “#prayforjapan” Car Magnets at Royal/T Café in Culver City and at various charity events around Los Angeles.

The proceeds from the sales will be split between the Japan Red Cross and an US-originated NPO, Second Harvest Japan, which is committed to transporting food and other needed supplies to the evacuees.

Recently JFS has helped raise money for earthquake and tsunami aid at the following events:

• 5/18–21 Japanese Culture Week @ Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena
• 5/15 Revolt 2011: Real or Fame @ Club Goodhurt in Venice
• 5/13 Earthawake: Benefit Theatrical Performance @CSU Long Beach
• 5/01 Bellydance benefit show for JAPAN @ Dance Garden in Glendale
• 5/01 The Electric Starfish: Concert for Japan @ 2nd Street Jazz in Little Tokyo
• 4/14 Artwalk in L.A. Downtown
• 3/27 Operation Tomodachi @Vangard in Hollywood and @Avec in Huntington Beach
